REASON FOR RECALL If you purchased a QuickBack 2 (part number 8002621) and/or QuickBack 3 (part number 8002622) trunk-mounted bike carrier from Yakima Products prior to April 9, 2009, please remove it from your vehicle and stop using it immediately. There is a possibility of the unit malfunctioning. This could cause injury or property damage. PLEASE CEASE USE OF YOUR QUICKBACK 2 OR QUICKBACK 3 IMMEDIATELY. PLEASE REMOVE THE PRODUCT FROM YOUR VEHICLE. To receive information about how you can receive a refund or get a replacement, please fill out an online form to receive an instructional package. Answer: If there is a "YAKIMA" decal on the back of your QuickBack 2 or 3, it is NOT subject to this recall; you can continue to use your QuickBack. In addition, if the carton in which the QuickBack is shipped features a “Planet Payback” sticker like the one below, your QuickBack is NOT subject to this recall.
